Texas Teacher Workshop 2018

The Heritage Society (THS) and the Houston Public Library's Houston Metropolitan Research Center (HMRC) have  joined forces to host a professional development workshop for teachers of Texas history. This year, educators will hear presentations by Texas historians on topics that fit within the second semester of 7th grade Texas history from the Mexican War to Civil Rights.  Also included are hands-on strategy and resource sessions that are TEKS aligned. Teachers will receive lesson plans and copies of demonstrated resources.
